Today I thought I would do a fun Christmas in July post ( I may or may not have a yule log playing on the tv). I know I know its still summer and probably way to early be thinking about the holidays but it really is one of my favorite times of the year. Growing up my mom was always decorating ( she still does for all the holidays, I love going over there to see what new and fun stuff she has) and baking cookies. I love doing both of those things now as an adult. Last year was our first year in our new house and I wanted to make it special. We had only been living there for a short while before the craziness of the holidays ensued but I was still able to decorate and enjoy. My sweet husband surprised me with our Christmas tree and he did a great job picking it out:). We were still moving some of our stuff and he strapped it to the top of all our boxes. Our first Christmas in our first house was wonderful and I cant wait for this year. We had a more traditional color palette for Christmas with lots of green, red and golds. I was so excited to have a coffee bar to decorate with a little holiday cheer. With all of the changes we have made to our house decorating this year should be so much fun. This year I may switch things up and go more neutral with the decor, I am a sucker for twinkle lights so I for see a lot of those in my future:).
What are some of your favorite holiday traditions? Do you love to decorate early or are you a strickly after Thanksgiving person? ( I usually am but this year may be different;) ) Comment below and let me know. Have a great week
next week on the blog I am talking paint colors- some bold, some neutral
