We had moved into our house 10 years ago and really struggled with how to make our boxy living work for our family. After meeting with several consultants and initiating several failed design attempts, we finally teamed up with Lynsey. She took time to ask thoughtful questions in order to thoroughly understand our needs and tastes. Her design concept perfectly blended our house’s Southern Colonial architecture with my New England farmstead heritage, including an improved flow and function that was greatly needed for the family. Lynsey is the perfect mix of professionalism, patience, and inspiration. My husband and I had been slowly trying to furnish and/or decorate our new townhome in Locust Point; we had been making progress but were honestly experiencing decoration and decision fatigue as we were contemplating the master bedroom, a large space that still held a mix of hand-me-down furniture from our post-college days. Lynsey came highly recommended by Kim Hildebrand, whom we had worked with to stage the sale of our home. We were so pleased with Lynsey from the very first meeting- not only did she take a look at the space she was being tasked with, but took her time throughout the entire house, getting a sense of our combined style and what we gravitated towards. I assumed she'd spend most of her time in the master bedroom taking pictures and measurements, but she spent most of the time interviewing my husband and me to understand what we really wanted; this was so critical! And we didn't realize what we wanted until she helped us articulate it. From that point forward, the process was quick and painless. Lynsey came up with ideas we loved and sourced them, working with us back and forth until we had the perfect plan for the room. She was very flexible throughout, her replies were always prompt and professional, she truly listened to our feedback, and we LOVE the design style she dreamed up for us- it is so completely "us" and now that we are finished putting all of the pieces together, we love our sanctuary. We still can't believe it's the same room! We will most definitely use Lynsey again for our next decorating project.
